Under the heading “Part-IS,” EU law stipulates in numerous implementing regulations that many companies operating in the aviation sector must establish an information security management system. This system also requires regulatory oversight. Many companies and organizations focused on general aviation are also subject to these requirements. The Federal Ministry of Transport, together with the Federal Office for Information Security, will present the procedure intended for Germany, placing particular emphasis on aspects of special interest to smaller businesses. The focus is on the principle that the effort involved should be proportionate to the actual risk.
