The D-MESO aircraft is the first series-produced "Elektra Trainer FG" to receive type certification since January 2025. Thanks to its bipod landing gear, it is better suited for operation on airfields and for flight training than the RG retractable landing gear version. The Elektra Trainer has proven its suitability for everyday use and high performance with long-distance flights of 313 km non-stop, winning the eTrophy, Bern [2022 to 2024] three times, a flight from the Allgäu to Norderney in one day [2024] and motorized high-altitude flights up to FL230 (February 2025). The high battery capacity in combination with the low energy consumption makes it possible to fly the complete PPL training program without special logistics. An industry-standard power connection (CEE16) is sufficient for charging with the on-board chargers. All-day flight school operation is possible by recharging when changing student pilots, and the aircraft is then gently recharged overnight. Depending on requirements, various electric variable pitch propellers can be selected. The ET is self-sufficient when using its solar trailer and therefore requires neither indoor space nor a power connection.
