About me

Christian Theuermann is the executive board member at AXIS Flight Simulation, a leading innovator in high-fidelity flight training devices. With a background in business and mechanical engineering, he brings extensive expertise in financial management, operational strategy and technology-driven solutions to the aerospace sector. Since joining AXIS Flight Simulation, Christian has been instrumental in advancing the company's production, development and research of next-generation flight training systems. His leadership ensures that AXIS Flight Simulation’s full-flight simulators (FFS) and training devices not only meet but exceed EASA, FAA and ICAO qualification standards, offering exceptional reliability and training effectiveness. He led the launch of AXIS Flight Simulation’s Virtual Cockpit Procedure and Walkaround Trainer (VPT), a cutting-edge solution powered by virtual and mixed reality technologies. The VPT enhances pilot training by offering immersive experiences for system familiarisation, ground operations, flight procedures and emergency scenarios. Additionally, Christian oversaw the introduction of AX-D Flex, the first front-loading roll-on/roll-off simulator solution, enabling pilots to train on multiple aircraft configurations within a single device. Prior to AXIS Flight Simulation, Christian held executive positions in finance, controlling and corporate strategy across multiple industries, including manufacturing and consulting. As a professor at FH CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences in Graz, he continues to contribute to research and education in enterprise risk management, cost accounting and procurement strategies. Christian holds a doctorate in technical sciences and a master’s degree in civil engineering from Graz University of Technology. His analytical approach, combined with a passion for innovation, has cemented his reputation as a key figure in the evolution of aviation training technologies.
