Jérémy Caussade: the sky, boldness and innovation Born in the Basque Country in South-West France, Jérémy Caussade discovered his passion for flying at an early age, and started with gliding before becoming a private pilot. With a master's degree in fluid dynamics from Paul-Sabatier University in Toulouse, he began his career at Altran, before joining Airbus where he held key positions in flight testing, certification, and digital transformation. In 2018, driven by a bold vision, he co-founded AURA AERO with Wilfried Dufaud and Fabien Raison. Their ambition: to revolutionize aviation by designing electric and hybrid aircraft that are both performing and environment-friendly. The two-seater INTEGRAL, intended for training and aerobatics, marks the first milestone in this adventure. Next will come ERA (Electric Regional Aircraft), a 19-seater regional aircraft, whose maiden flight is scheduled for 2027. At every stage, Jérémy moves forward with the same conviction, guided by a motto that has become a second nature to him, borrowed from French writer André Dacier: “Saying it right makes people laugh, doing it right makes them shut up.” No great speeches, just proof. And it works: hundreds of orders, government support through France 2030, and a team that has grown to over 250 people. But Jérémy Caussade is not only focused on the future. He maintains strong ties to the history of aviation as co-founder and president of Réplic’Air, an association that rebuilds historic aircraft.
