AERO 2027 (April 14–17, 2027) will provide a greater profile for helicopters, building on the success of AERO 2026, organisers Fairnamic confirmed today. Helicopters (executive, GA and utility) will feature in three connected areas of AERO, Europe’s largest trade show for General Aviation, Business Aviation and Air Sports as the scope of the whole event widens.
The increased interest in Business Aviation will expand to include helicopters alongside corporate jets and turboprops. Early exhibitors include a reshaped increased pavilion of the German Helicopter Association (DHV), Bell, Robinson, Guimbal and the DRF Luftrettung.
"With some 50 business aircraft (fixed wing and rotary wing) showcased in 2026, it became clear that this section of the show was not only welcomed, but that corporate helicopters are a complementary and highly valued part of executive aviation," said Tobias Bretzel, AERO Show Director at Fairnamic GmbH. "This is a logical extension for helicopter OEMs, operators and owners, many of whom are already closely involved in fixed wing operations."
With 37,000 show visitors in 2026, an additional area for rotary wing OEMs has also been created, including an extended area dedicated to Bell, part of Textron Aviation. Robinson Helicopter Company will have a strong showing, as they leverage the event to be a focal point to bring together their dealers and service centres from all parts of Europe.
At the lighter end of the market, the strong showing of Ultralight and Light Sport Aircraft will be supplemented with helicopters and gyrocopters which fall into these weights and usage categories. With AERO having been built from the start on this market segment, the organisers expect this new imperative will attract a record line-up of ultralight rotary wing aircraft.
“We’re delighted with the positive response and pro-active feedback from customers, who continue to help shape the trade show with us. We will also be featuring helicopter and future eVTOL discussions in our conference programme. Advancing AERO generally and the AERO Business Aviation Show Hub, in collaboration with our industry partners, is our top priority," Tobias Bretzel added.
