High-temperature PEM (HTPEM) fuel cells are emerging as one of the most promising pathways for zero-emission propulsion in aviation. In this session, the CTO of Stralis will provide a clear and concise overview of the current state of HTPEM technology, including recent performance achievements, integration experience from real-world aviation programs, and the remaining challenges to be solved for commercial adoption. The talk will highlight the unique advantages of HTPEM systems—such as improved thermal management, tolerance to impurities, and simplified balance-of-plant—and discuss their potential to enable practical hydrogen-electric aircraft. Attendees will gain an up-to-date perspective on where the technology stands today and what breakthroughs can be expected in the near future.
