About me

Oliver Smith is an experienced business aviation professional with over a decade in the private jet charter and aircraft management sector, currently serving as Head of Sales at SaxonAir Charter Ltd. In this role, he is responsible for leading the charter sales department, driving revenue growth, developing client relationships, and overseeing the commercial strategy across both on-fleet and brokerage operations. Since taking on the position in 2021, he has focused on strengthening sales performance, expanding the client base, and supporting the growth of managed aircraft within a highly competitive European charter market. Prior to becoming Head of Sales, Oliver held the role of Head of Business Development, Managed Aircraft at SaxonAir, where he was responsible for securing new aircraft management opportunities and developing relationships with aircraft owners, operators, and industry partners. His work contributed to the expansion of the company’s fleet and the growth of its charter capability. Before joining SaxonAir, Oliver worked at NetJets Europe as Manager, Sales Administration and Research, supporting the sales organisation with market analysis, reporting, and commercial insight across the European fractional ownership business. Earlier in his career he spent over four years at Executive Jet Management Europe in London as a Senior Consultant, advising aircraft owners on management, charter strategy, and operational structure, gaining extensive experience in the commercial and regulatory aspects of business aviation. Across his career, Oliver has developed strong expertise in charter sales, aircraft management, client development, and commercial strategy, with a detailed understanding of both the UK and European private aviation markets.
