Dr. Sebastian Seemann

Sebastian is the CTO of “Aircraft Design Certification”, a German company the helps bring the most innovative aircraft and aviation technologies into certified operation. With a reputation for solving tough certification challenges, AirDC is a trusted partner for aviation OEM’s across Europe and beyond. An aerospace engineer by training, Sebastian studied at Universität Stuttgart and École Polytechnique de Montréal before earning his PhD on electrified helicopter flight control systems. His 15-year career spans Airbus R&T – including the CityAirbus demonstrator project – and the automotive supplier ZF in its e-mobility division. Before joining AirDC, he co-founded the Munich startup Vaeridion and led as CTO and Managing Director. Sebastian is a passionate private pilot since nearly 20 years, flying various single engine types from conventional Diamond DA40 to fully electric Pipistrel Velis. Known for building high-performing teams and leading with passion, Sebastian thrives for collaboration.
