AERO Gliding Expo

With the AERO Gliding Expo in Hall A1 – the largest hall on the fairgrounds of Messe Friedrichshafen – AERO Friedrichshafen is implementing a new, appealing concept for soaring.

AERO attendees can look forward to a broad range of gliding exhibitors. In cooperation with air sports associations, well-known glider manufacturers, suppliers and manufacturers of tow planes many product innovations will be on display. For the first time, Zeppelin CAT Hall A1 will feature a dedicated conference area for gliding, with high-level presentations and panel discussions on future topics in gliding. Booths from air sports clubs and associations such as the German Aero Club e.V. (DAeC) and student organisations such as Idaflieg will round out the comprehensive offerings of the AERO Gliding Expo

Voices of the AERO Gliding Expo

Claus Cordes
President of the German Aero Club
"The aviation world meets at the AERO, and I am personally very pleased that many glider manufacturers are on board this year. I am just as pleased that the trade fair has given us the opportunity to help shape large parts of the Gliding Expo lecture and discussion program. The topics should really interest every glider pilot."
Stefan Langer
"For me, AERO Friedrichshafen is the only trade fair where, as a glider pilot, you can meet an international audience and gain insights into other industries at the same time. I particularly enjoy meeting fans from all age groups at my stand and talking to them in person. For the 30th anniversary, there will finally be a complete gliding hall again and some glider manufacturers will be presenting interesting new products. I will also be exhibiting my new glider at AERO 2024. Be curious!"
Klaus Ohlmann
"30TH AERO... a real reason to celebrate. As always, the largest international aviation exhibition in the German-speaking world takes place in Friedrichshafen in April. Gliding will have a large Gliding Expo in Hall A 1. We will be presenting our E-Stemme project there. I am convinced that my presentation in Hall A 1 will be very well received."
Tobias Bretzel
Head of Aviation - Project manager AERO Friedrichshafen
"Gliding is an important part of the AERO. Air sports clubs were among the first exhibitors at the inaugural event 46 years ago. We are therefore delighted with the response from the industry for the new edition in 2024. The further developed concept of the AERO Gliding Expo as part of the upcoming trade fair thus offers the ideal combination of a dedicated platform and international exchange with exhibitors, authorities and visitors from other areas of the trade fair. Only AERO enables this important embedding of gliding in the general aviation ecosystem."
