Hydrogen-electric propulsion offers distinct advantages over other low-emission alternatives, including higher energy density and greater range potential – characteristics that make it a technically viable option for a range of aircraft types and missions.

Realizing that potential, however, requires more than off-the-shelf solutions. Aircraft type, mission profile, and operational context each influence what a viable hydrogen-electric system looks like in practice.

This talk presents H2FLY's methodology for addressing this complexity: modelling propulsion systems individually and benchmarking hydrogen-electric configurations against conventional powertrains.
